What is the Junior League of Durham and Orange Counties?

The JLDOC is an organization of women whose mission is to advance women’s leadership for meaningful community impact through volunteer action, collaboration and training. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable. We are proud to share our time and engagement with partners throughout our community.

Above all else, our goal is to promote and perpetuate social change in the Durham, Chapel Hill, and surrounding communities that will benefit most from it. By empowering women and providing valuable leadership training, we are giving local women the tools to get involved, put their talents to work, and positively impact our communities.

When can I use my Shop | Save | Support card?

Shoppers can utilize their 2024 Shop | Save | Support card during the shopping period of April 12, 2024-May 5, 2024.

What discounts and other benefits does the Shop | Save | Support card provide?

Individuals with a Shop | Save | Support card can receive up to a 20% discount at participating retailers and restaurants on products/services sold to cardholders during the event. A shopping guide, including each participating business' name, location(s), description and exclusions will be available online starting in February, 2024.

How will proceeds of the Shop | Save | Support fundraiser be utilized?

100% of the net proceeds from the Shop Save Support fundraiser go towards our mission of funding leadership training and development opportunities for women and allow the JLDOC to provide continued volunteer support for other local non-profit organizations in Durham and Orange Counties. Proceeds from the sale of the Shop | Save | Support cards support the work of the Junior League of Durham and Orange Counties. As a nonprofit organization, the Junior League has routine operating expenses. Additionally, your donation will support women’s leadership trainings and professional development opportunities.

While donations first support the Junior League, we are committed to providing as much financial support to our local community partners as possible. In recent years, the Junior League of Durham and Orange Counties has provided grant funding to Root Causes and Welcome Baby.

Are there exclusions to how the Shop | Save | Support card can be utilized?

Limitations and Exclusions of the Shop | Save | Support card:

All policies are honored at the individual retailer’s discretion. Exceptions and exclusions apply at some stores. Please reference the Shop | Save | Support shopping guide for more information.

The Shop | Save | Support card is non-transferable, non-replaceable, and non-refundable.

Only one shopper is permitted to utilize each Shop | Save | Support Card. 

The Shop | Save | Support card entitles ONLY the cardholder to the specified discount during the specified shopping dates. The Shop | Save | Support card discount does not apply to any purchases made prior to or after the shopping period.

The Shop | Save | Support cardholder must present the card at the time of purchase to receive a discount or special offer.

Sale/clearance merchandise, special/custom/commissioned orders, and gift certificates are not honored with the Shop | Save | Support card unless otherwise specified by the merchant.

The Shop | Save | Support card discount is not valid/combinable with any other discount offer or promotion.

The Shop | Save | Support card discount does not apply to purchases made online, unless the business is listed as an “online retailer” or as specifically stated in the Shop | Save | Support shopping guide.

The Shop | Save | Support card discount does not apply to the purchase of alcoholic beverages.
